Houston’s art set came out for the The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s 2018 Grand Gala Ball.
THE PARTY More than 270 art patrons convened at The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston for the annual Grand Gala Ball: The Courtly Ball to fete its recent exhibition, Tudors to Windsors: British Royal Portraits From Holbein to Warhol. Guests included museum director Gary Tinterow, board chairman Richard D. Kinder and ball chair Franci Neely—all of whom made remarks during the evening—along with Phoebe Tudor, Shahla and Hushang Ansary, and more. THE SCENE Cullinan Hall was aptly transformed for the occasion, featuring chandeliers and framed projections of the British royals. Tablescapes by The Events Company included overflowing centerpieces, gold-rimmed glassware and royal-blue linens, on which galagoers feasted on a meal by City Kitchen. THE HIGHLIGHTS Following dinner, Jordan Khan Orchestra took the stage; spirited dancing ensued.
