Grand Opening Alert: These Restaurants Are Coming Soon

A new Central Coast oyster bar, Pizzeria Delfina lands in SoMa, and David Kinch’s latest project.

The Central Coast gets a new steakhouse and oyster bar with French influences courtesy of chef Jeffrey Wall (pictured above), who made a name for himself at prominent restaurants in Atlanta. A wood-fired grill will be the kitchen’s centerpiece. 155 Walnut Ave. (at Cedar St.)

Pizzeria Delfina
ETA: December 2018
The Cal-Italian institution will open its fifth Bay Area outpost in a prime downtown location. Expect the pizzeria’s usual array of Neapolitan-inspired pies, a healthy wine list, and, for dessert, Double 8 Dairy soft serve. 688 Mission St. (at 3rd St.)

ETA: March 2019
A pioneer of modern California cuisine at his flagship, Manresa, David Kinch sets his sights on French-influenced Italian cooking at this casual restaurant in the new Aptos Village shopping plaza. Rest assured, there will be pizza. 448 Granite Way (at Easy St.)
